Modern English FLAC - First 3 Albums

    They aged especially well.

  2. That Rhys is so gorgeous, really uplifting. I just missed the real thing: heard about it the next day! Must have been a very special musical moment.
Thks too for those Neu! links, I'm gonna go down those torrents: Neu's music always a watery quality to me! Many thks again & have a nice evening: hope you're not losing hope up there in Greece…

  3. If you are new to the music of Modern English, then you are in for a real treat with these albums. I would also check out the This Mortal Coil versions of Gathering Dust and Sixteen Days from the Mesh & Lace album, as in my opinion, these are the the far superior versions.

Even if you are not new to the band - the expanded reissue of After The Snow is worth getting for the bonus tracks, which includes the 7 inch version of I Melt With You (one of the greatest and under-rated pop songs of the eighties) as well as the two remixes of Life In The Gladhouse, the 12 inch version is for me, the definitive version - and last but not least the 11 minute plus opus magnum that is The Choicest View - I do wish they had released instrumental versions of the last two tracks but that is just me.

00i00 - Great you posted the video for I Melt With You - I can't have seen that for thirty years - can't believe I wanted a hat exactly like that!
